Gordon Parks Day

Gordon Parks Day was held On Sunday, October 6, 1968 at Memorial Hall in Fort Scott, Kansas with Fort Scott and area residents honoring and Gordon Parks and the filming of The Learning Tree. Kansas Governor Robert Docking read a proclamation declaring October movie month in Kansas in honor of Gordon Parks.
